Getting there

Flights

Lozenets is less than fifty minutes drive from Bourgas airport, "The sunniest airport in Europe". The road is good, more than half of which is a new four lane highway. The final stretch is currently being upgraded, to make the journey time even quicker.

Bourgas airport previously only had charter flights in the summer, but now scheduled services are being introduced. A helipad will be available a few hundred metres from the resort. A new motorway is under construction, linking Bourgas with Plovdiv and Sofia.

Burgas airport is rapidly growing. With the lifting of restrictions following Bulgaria's EU entry, many new airlines are flying to Burgas. These include Ryanair, Thomsonfly, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Germanwings.

During the summer there are many charter flights to Burgas airport. From the UK, Wizzair and Bulgaria Air currently offer low cost scheduled flights.

With the completion of a new terminal building in September 2007, and a €500 million investment program over the next few years, Burgas is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe.

Directions

Coming from Bourgas, take the southern coastal road direction Sozopol / Tsarevo. On this road, you will drive past the towns of Sozopol, Duni, Primorsko, Kiten and Lozenets. If you reach Tsarevo, you've gone too far!

It is easy to find. After passing the Lozenets turnoff, continue for 1.8km. Take the first left (gravel road). Take the first right (T junction). Take the first left (another gravel road). You've arrived!
